Wonderful Wyoming

I was born and raised in Wyoming. Dale has never been to anywhere except Evanston. My mom's side of the family was holding a family reunion (all I have never met before). I planned this great adventure for us to explore a small part of wyoming on a summer vacation. Our first step in the adventure was driving through Star Valley, in my opionion one of the prettiest places ever. I was so excited to have Dale see the tetons. As we turned the corner there they were, standing tall and proud. I get this most amazing AWE feeling whenever I see them. Dale was so impressed. We got into Jackson Hole, unloaded the Harley off the trailer and had a day of fun exploring Jackson Hole. We stayed in a nice hotel and had a great time shopping in town square, downtown Jackson Hole.

We bought a few treasures and then we headed for Yellowstone. I had been to Yellowstone when I was 5 or so. I was just as excited to see it as Dale was. We saw beautiful scenery on the way. We just could not get enough of the beauty of Yellowstone. I have to admit I just wanted to stay and live their forever. We made our way to Old Faithful. My only memory of this awesome power of Mother Earth was when I was very young and I was so scared I went tearing down the path. This time, I was just amazed at the power the earth has of releasing this water/steam. While we watched Old Faithful, we looked around us and could see many other areas erupting at the same time. Dale found an old tree and we sat under the tree just enjoying each other and the beautiful scenery we were in. We decided to eat at Yellowstone INN. They had this awesome buffet. I tried some chili and was really impressed. I went back for more and found out it was buffalo chili. I told Dale he was eating Bison and he said yes it is spicey. He thought I said spicey. I explained he was eating Buffalo and went back for more. He tried the trout and other exotic food and enjoyed every minute of it. We were on the road again with our tummies full and very filled with the deep appreciation of nature. On the road again and had a nice drive across Yellowstone. Dale and I saw 2 young kids on the side of the road hitchhiking. Dale told them he would give them a ride in the back of the truck if they wanted. Found out that they were working at Old faithful and they needed to get to Cody to wire money to their parents in Kosovo. It was interesting, on the way to Cody, there was a big buffalo in the middle of the road. Stopped traffic and I was wanting to out and pet it. Not the smartest idea however, it looked so cute. The kids in the back of our truck were so suprised and were taking pictures like crazy. We sat in the road for about 10 minutes while the buffalo decided what he wanted to do and we were on our way. I was just so impressed with the lakes and ponds through Yellowstone. It was so beautiful.
